Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, Alexandre has lived in the city of Ottawa for his adult life.

He attended the University of Ottawa, where he graduated cum laude with a Joint Honours degree in History and Political Science in 2010.

He completed a Master’s Degree in Political Science in 2012 at Carleton University where his research focused on the political representation of Québec at the federal level.

While attending the University of Ottawa’s French Common Law Program, Alexandre worked as a Parliamentary Assistant to the Deputy House Leader of the Official Opposition.

He had the opportunity to work on a number of bills including a proposed legislative framework for VIA Rail Canada as well as an amendment to the Criminal Records Act, which would have granted a pardon to persons who were previously convicted solely on the basis of having committed ‘homosexual activities’.

Alexandre first joined Chénier & Notturno as an articling student in 2015 and remained as an associate following his call to the Ontario Bar in June 2016.

His practice focuses mainly on Criminal Law, Family Law and Child Protection Law, as well as the preparation of wills.

His particular areas of interest include advocacy on behalf of vulnerable persons in the criminal justice system, support for young people facing economic disadvantage, as well as social justice.

Alexandre est fier d’offrir des services en français et est membre de l’Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario.

When not practicing law, Alexandre enjoys cooking, photography and camping with his wife and their dog, Scout.
